Business Personal Property Assessment

Personal property, by Oregon law, is taxable in the county where it is located as of January 1st at 1:00am.  Each individual, partnership, firm, or corporation that possesses taxable personal property must file a Confidential Business Personal Property Return by March 15th - there are no extensions.

Confidential Personal Property Return forms are due on March 15.

Please note: all returns that are filed late receive a penalty. The penalty is a percentage of the taxes and is 5%, 25%, or 50% depending on how late the return is filed.


Attention Business Owners - Business Personal Property Tax Seminar

Every year in Oregon, businesses with taxable personal property such as furniture, equipment and machinery must file a Form OR-CPPR, 2018 Confidential Personal Property Return to the County Assessor’s office by March 15.  Washington County’s Assessment and Taxation Department is hosting a seminar to help navigate the personal property filing requirements and answer questions. This informational event is scheduled for Thursday, January 18, 2018 from 1:30 p.m.to 3:30 p.m. at the Hillsboro Brookwood Library.
