Alternate Format Ballot (AFB) Request
For Voters with disabilities the State of Oregon offers 2 different Alternate Format Ballots (AFB). The AFB allows Voters with disabilities to vote privately and independently.
HTML Ballot
The HTML Ballot is an electronic document that opens in a web browser. With the help of the Voters Assistive technology the voter completes the ballot, prints it and returns the ballot in the secrecy and signature envelopes included in the standard ballot package mailed from the Election Office. The HTML Ballot can be emailed directly to you or it can be sent by regular mail on a CD. Voters that do not have the necessary equipment at home can access the HTML Ballot using an Accessible Computer Station provided by the County at the elections office.
Large Print Ballot
For those voters with visual disabilities the Election office offers a large print ballot. The large print ballot has a font size of 16/20 while the average font size on a standard ballot is a 9/10 font size.
The information on the Large Print Ballot is the same as the information on the standard printed ballot.
To request a Large Print Ballot or a HTML Ballot, call The Washington County Elections Office or complete and submit the form below.
