Online Payment

The county will accept Credit Card/Debit Card, or e-Check online payments via the internet.  We are often asked if people can pay property taxes by credit card or by other electronic means.  Washington County accepts credit card and e-Check payments online.  You can pay your taxes with your VISA, MASTERCARD, DISCOVER CARD, OR AMERICAN EXPRESS, or e-Check from your computer.

A.  Credit/Debit Card:  If paying by CREDIT CARD/DEBIT CARD, there will be a convenience fee of 2.49% of the payment charged for this service paid by you, the taxpayer.

B.  E-Check Payment:  An e-check is an on-line payment deducted from your checking account.  There will be a convenience fee of $.95 charged per transaction for this service paid by you, the taxpayer.

$2500.95    Total charge to your account 
The online system is set up to accept the following:

  • Full and partial payments.
  • You can pay one account per transaction.

The following items are required to enter a tax payment online:

  • A valid e-mail address.
  • The property tax account number.  Your account number will be located on the top right hand corner of your annual property tax statement.  The number will begin with an "R" for real property, "M" for manufactured home, "U" for utility property or "P" for personal property.  (Refer to SAMPLE TAX STATEMENT.)
  • A valid VISA, MasterCard, Discover Card, or American Express if paying by Credit Card.
  • Your checking Account and Routing numbers if paying by e-Check.


To avoid loss of discount and interest charges, tax payments must be post-marked November 15, 2016.

If you are making an online payment, your payment is considered timely if the transmission time and date is prior to November 15, 2016 at 11:59 p.m.
