Resident Personal Belongings
It is the policy of the Washington County Community Corrections Center that residents may possess necessary personal belongings such as clothing and toiletries.
Residents may possess books, single speaker radios/alarm clocks, and other personal belongings with permission of staff. Use of personal materials may not be offensive to other residents, staff, or guests.
All belongings will be kept in a neat and orderly fashion and maintained in each resident’s designated storage space. Resident’s personal belongings will be searched upon entrance by staff. Any restricted items will be confiscated, receipted, and must be removed within fourteen days. A copy of the receipt will be given to the resident and a copy will stay with the property.
The Community Corrections Center will not be responsible for resident personal belongings. If personal belongings are not removed from the center within 30 days of escape or release from custody, they will be discarded. Restricted items that are receipted are allowed fourteen days to be in the building until they are to be donated or disposed.
