Annual Performance Report

HUD requires an annual report on the accomplishments of the jurisdiction which details how the federal funds were utilized. The report is entitled Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND COMMENT PERIOD ON WASHINGTON COUNTY'S CONSOLIDATED ANNUAL PERFORMANCE AND EVALUATION REPORT (CAPER) FOR PROGRAM YEAR 2022

Consolidated annual performance and evaluation report (CAPER) for program year 2022/ 2023

Washington County has prepared the 2022 CAPER report as required by federal regulations. The report details project accomplishments as well as expenditures throughout the period of July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023 for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, the Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG), and the HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) Program. The report also provides a summary of CARES Act funding that was abbreviated by HUD as CDBG-CV and ESG-CV. The purpose of the report is to measure to what extent the jurisdictions are meeting priority needs, goals and strategies as outlined in the 2020-2024 Consolidated Plan.

The report is due to HUD on September 28, 2023. A 15-day public comment period on the report begins on Thursday, August 31st and runs through Thursday, September 14th, 2023. A public hearing on September 14th, 2023 will be held to receive comments on the CAPER. The hearing will also be an opportunity to accept public comment on housing and community development needs in the County. The public hearing will be held in a virtual format and information regarding connection to the meeting will be available on the Office of Community Development website. The public hearing starts at 7:00 p.m.
