On February 17, 2009 the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 was signed into law. Among many provisions, the Act appropriated $1 billion dollars nationwide to the Community Development Block Grant Recovery Program (CDBG-R). The Washington County Consortium has been allocated a total of $715,525 in CDBG-R funds. The County has allocated $71,552.50 for Program Administration; $107,328.75 for Public Services; $131,991.00 to the City of Hillsboro; and $404,652.75 for Infrastructure Improvements and Public Facilities for projects located throughout Washington County.
