AVAILABLE FOR PUBLIC COMMENT THROUGH FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 20, 2015
A "draft of the draft" of the 2015-2020 Consolidated Plan is out for an "unofficial" comment period to hear preliminary feedback from partner agencies regarding the data contained in the Consolidated Plan. This review will be over on Friday, February 20th.
When reviewing this draft, keep in mind some caveats:
- The formatting is a work in progress. We are leaving final corrections until the official draft version is released in March. Chapters 5 and 6 specifically are still being formatted into InDesign so we are providing you pre-polished version of those chapters for content purposes.
- The maps in chapter 5 do not have a sharp professional look, because they are downloads form other sites. We are working to improve their appearance.
- Volume 2, which will include the supporting documentation for certain activities of the planning process, in not available for review during this comment period.

Public review and comment period for the draft Consolidated Plan sections, Strategic Plan, Objective Statements, and Chapter begins on July 14, 2014 and continues through July 25, 2014. Please see Public Notice for contact information.
The Year 1 Strategic Plan for 2015-2016 is the annual Strategic Plan that guides goals and strategies for Year 1 of the 2015-2020 Washington County Consolidated Plan for the CDBG, HOME and ESG programs.
The FY 2015 Washington County Objective Statements were developed through public outreach activities intended to gather and determine community development needs. The attached copy of Objective Statements is intended to be used by potential CDBG applicants to determine eligibility of a proposed project for the first year of the 2015-2020 Consolidated Plan.
Chapter 4 provides an overview of the federal Community Development Block Grant Program as well as Washington County's CDBG program by providing a summary of Washington County's non-housing needs for the 2015-2020 reporting period as well as an outline of the allocation process for Year 1 of Washington Count's CDBG programs.
