Washington County Addiction Services Program has developed a number of presentations to use out in the community. A few of those presentations are offered below. The information, and the slides that contain it, are available for your use. Take a look and learn about the nature of addiction, the downside of gambling, and the public health system.
The primary source for statistical information comes from publications such as, Alcohol, Illicit Drug & Tobacco Consumption and Consequences in Washington County, Oregon 2000-2006; and the 2008 Community Resource Guide for Problem and Pathological Gambling. These publication were developed by Oregon's Department of Human Service's Addiction and Mental Health Division.
