Insurance For Kids
WHAT IS HEALTHY KIDS ?
Healthy Kids provides no-cost, low-cost and full-cost health coverage options for uninsured Oregon children and teens up to 19 years of age. Coverage lasts for one full year and covers all health needs, including doctor visits, dental care, vision, mental or behavioral health services, prescriptions, and more. Children will not be turned away due to pre-existing conditions or be put on a waiting list.
Have you applied in the past or think you won't qualify? No family makes too much money for Healthy Kids. Family income will determine whether a child is eligible for the no-cost, low-cost or full-cost coverage option. For example, a family of four earning as much as $67,200 a year may qualify for low-cost option. The application is now easier and we have many people waiting to help you complete an application.
WHO QUALIFIES ?
-- Children and teens age 18 or younger
-- Children and teens who are uninsured for at least 2 months (exceptions do apply)
-- Children and teen who are a legal residents of Oregon (even if their parents are not)
-- Family income determines whether the child or teen qualifies for no-cost, low-cost or full- cost option.
No-Cost
Income Less than $44,000 for a family of four.*
Low-Cost
Income between $44,000 and $66,000 for a family of four.*
Full-Cost
Over $66,000 for a family of four (no subsidy)*
*Program eligibility based on average monthly income and number of members in the family. Income guidelines are approximate. Annual income for family of four is used for example purposes.
