Foster Care

Washington County has many adult and child foster care homes that serve individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Washington County staff conducts licensing and certification visits to these adult and child foster homes as well as orientation, training and monitoring. The actual license or certification for these homes is issued by the state DD Licensing Unit of the Department of Human Services (DHS) Office of Licensing and Quality of Care.
