Vehicle Inspection

All ambulances, air ambulances and wheelchair cars operating within Washington County are required to be inspected by the Washington County Emergency Medical Services Office, or by an authorized outside agency.  Acceptability of inspections by an outside agency will be determined on a case-by-case basis. 

The Washington County EMS office reserves the right to randomly inspect any regulated vehicles regardless of inspection by an authorized outside agency.  The purpose of these inspections is to ensure vehicles are appropriately equipped and properly maintained in adherence to established quality requirements.
