During the height of the H1N1 pandemic, MRC volunteers were invaluable partners with Washington County during the vaccination campaign. They were an integral part of serving the community by:

  • Providing medical screening
  • Assisting with approximately 14,000 H1N1 vaccinations
  • Working at 9 Point of Dispensing Vaccination Clinics (PODs) and 15 Community Vaccination Clinics
  • Donating 885 volunteer hours

Washington County's MRC Unit is one of 15 units in Oregon. Read about the National MRC inception, interesting facts and data on the Medical Reserve Corps Fact Sheet (PDF).
