OAR – Oregon Administrative Rules are numbered by the Division and Chapter. The “Oregon Administrative Rules Compilation” (OAR) is the official compilation of rules and regulations having the force of law in the state of Oregon. The OAR is compiled and issued annually by the Administrative Rules Unit of the Secretary of State’s Archives Division. Listed are links to the most current OAR version for some of the programs served by Washington County Environmental Health.
ORS - Oregon Revised Statutes defines “rule” as “any agency directive, standard, regulation or statement of general applicability that implements, interprets or prescribes law or policy, or describes the procedure or practice requirements of any agency.” The Oregon Administrative Rules are published by Bill Bradbury, Oregon Secretary of State. ORS 183.310(9) The Oregon Revised Statutes (ORS) is the codified body of statutory law governing the state of Oregon, as enacted by the Oregon Legislative Assembly, and occasionally by citizen initiative. The statutes are subordinate to the Oregon Constitution.
