What is the Tobacco Prevention and Education Program (TPEP)

The Washington County TPEP was reinstated in January of 2008 to work on reducing tobacco related illness and death in individuals who live, work, play and worship in Washington County.

The program works to inform and establish policy by fostering community partnerships, developing local champions, consulting peer reviewed research and evidenced-based practices and conducting comprehensive outcome evaluations which are fundamentally incorporated into all best practice strategies.

The program is funded on an annual basis by a grant from the Oregon Department of Human Services.
