Immunizations

Health begins where we live, work and play.

Washington County's Public Health works every day to keep Washington County a healthy place to live, work and play.  We provide immunizations for children and adults against vaccine-preventable diseases such as diphtheria, polio, whooping cough, measles, hepatitis and flu.

  • We provide vaccines in three clinic sites in Washington County
  • We teach parents of incoming kindergarten students about vaccine requirements.
  • We consult with and provide technical assistance for schools and childcare facilities in Washington County to ensure that all Washington County children have updated vaccinations.
  • We coordinate a seasonal flu vaccine program through special clinics, WIC, Veterans Stand Down, and Project Homeless Connect.
  • We participate in outreach programs throughout the year promoting immunizations to parents, schools and childcare facilities.
  • We convene quarterly networking meetings with school nurses and public health staff across Washington County
