Public Health
Health begins where we live, work, learn and play.

Mission: Washington County Public Health improves and protects the public's health across the lifespan through prevention, education, partnerships and healthy environments.
Vision: Healthy People, Thriving Communities
Washington County Public Health works to promote healthy communities by
- Working to make the healthy choice the easy choice
- Encouraging healthy, active lifestyles
-
Ensuring tobacco-free environments

We work to protect individuals and communities against the spread of disease, injuries and environmental hazards while promoting and encouraging healthier lifestyles.
From "No Smoking" signs to immunization clinics, from restaurant inspections to bike paths, public health is all around us – protecting our health by safeguarding the places where we live, work and play. For an overview of Public Health, here’s an interactive website.
