Washington County WIC has nutrition experts on hand at each of our three locations to assist with your family's unique health and nutrition concerns. Our experienced group of registered dietitians has the tools to help with your everyday feeding questions as well as any complex nutrition needs you or your child may have related to medical conditions. Feeding your family is an important job, and the dietitians at Washington County WIC are dedicated to helping you develop a plan for your family by providing support in a compassionate and nonjudgmental environment.

Available WIC Classes:

  • Online Nutrition Education: Choose your topic and take a nutrition class at home in your free time.

  • Breastfeeding Circle: Come and join us for our Breastfeeding Circles (you don't even have to be a current WIC participant). Meet with other nursing moms and consult with our breastfeeding specialists. Moms returning to work can get equipment (if eligible) and support to make the transition back to work as successful as possible. Scales are available for weighing babies. Drop-ins welcome!

      • 10-11 a.m. Spanish

    • Beaverton Resource Center: Meets every 2nd and 4th Tuesdays

  • Just 4 Fun: Swing by and get moving with this fun, self-paced learning experience!  Get your heart pumping and your brain in gear while learning fun facts and exercising at our interactive displays. For class dates and times, call our information line at 503-846-3869.
  • Secrets of Baby Behavior: What is your baby trying to tell you? Join us to learn more about reading your baby's cues between birth and six months of age.
  • Let's Eat: Learn how to switch your infant from baby food to table food, introduce the cup, and serve appropriate toddler portions.
  • Breastfeeding – You Can Do It!: This informative class will help you gain the confidence you need to get breastfeeding off to a good start.Good for first time moms or those with limited breastfeeding experience. 
  • Breastfeeding Refresher: Prepare to breastfeed a second (or third or fourth) time by speaking with lactation experts and other expectant moms in this discussion-centered class. Share your experiences to help other moms.
