Healthy Homes

childrenHealthy Homes is an asthma control program designed to improve asthma outcomes for children. This program can improve asthma symptoms and reduce emergency room visits and hospitalizations.

Referrals are now being accepted. Children referred to Healthy Homes will receive home visits by an experienced public health nurse and community health worker. They will work with the child and his or her family to improve treatment management and reduce environmental triggers in the home.

To be eligible, children must be 18 years old or younger, live in Washington County, and have a diagnosis of asthma or a history of persistent wheezing. The services are provided at no charge to the family.
