Bottle Bill increaseEffective April 1, 2017, the deposit and refund value on beverage containers included in the Bottle Bill will increase to 10 cents


Oregon's Bottle Bill is a deposit and redemption system for containers of bottled water, beer and carbonated soft drinks. This includes metal, plastic and glass containers of water and flavored water, beer, other malt beverages, carbonated mineral waters and carbonated soft drinks that are 3 liters or less. 

Containers that are sold in Oregon can be redeemed at participating grocery retailers or BottleDrop Redemption Centers. Visit the Oregon Liquor Control Commission website for more information. 


BottleDrop Redemption Centers 


The Oregon Beverage Recycling Cooperative is developing a network of BottleDrop Redemption Centers throughout Oregon. BottleDrop Centers are designed to make returning and redeeming containers easier. All centers are open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on-site staff is available to answer questions. There are three BottleDrop Centers located in Washington County: 

  • Tigard: 14411 SW Pacific Hwy, Tigard, OR 97224. Accessible via public transit on the #93 Tigard/Sherwood Trimet bus route. 

  • Forest Grove: 2933 Pacific Ave, Forest Grove. Accessible via public transit on the #57 TV Hwy/Forest Grove Trimet bus route. 
  • Beaverton (opening soon): 9307 SW Beaverton Hillsdale Hwy, Beaverton OR 97005. Accessible via public transit on the #54 Beaverton-Hillsboro Hwy Trimet bus route.
