Yard Debris Collection

Washington County residents with garbage collection service receive yard debris collection as part of their service.

The following areas have every-other-week yard debris collection:

Banks, Cornelius, Durham, Forest Grove, Hillsboro, King City, North Plains, Tigard and urban areas of unincorporated Washington County. Rural areas do not receive yard debris collection service.

Call your hauler to determine whether your yard debris is picked up on a green week or a red week. Print the latest collection calendar and circle your yard debris days.

Accepted in Yard Debris Containers:

• Leaves
• weeds
• Grass clippings
• Branches
• Garden Waste
• Prunings no greater than 4" in diameter and 36" long

Not Accepted in Yard Debris Containers:

• Plastic bags
• Metal
• Garbage
• Stumps
• Food Waste
• Plastic or wire ties
• Lumber
• Dirt, sod, or rock
• Ashes
• Garden vegetables and fruit

Maximum Yard Debris Container Weights:

• 100 lbs. for 60-gallon container or larger
• 60 lbs. for 32-gallon container
• 45 lbs. for 30-gallon container
• 45 lbs. for bags or bundles
