Recycle at School

Technical Assistance

The Washington County Recycling program provides recycling and waste reduction technical assistance for schools located within Washington County, but outside the city limits of Beaverton.* Request assistance by e-mail, or call us at 503-846-3605.

Assistance may include:

  • Working with facilities to optimize collection service with collection companies.
  • Establishing internal recycling programs at schools (classrooms, cafeterias and administrative buildings).
  • Providing recycling signs, posters and literature.

Presentations in the Classroom

Metro's Recycle at School program provides FREE resources for waste prevention at elementary, middle and high schools.  Metro Recycle at School staff can provide classroom presentations, puppet shows, educational theatre assemblies and other educational materials on waste prevention, recycling, composting and household hazardous waste.  For details, contact Metro at (503) 234-3000.
