The Harkins House Open is an annual golf tournament and silent auction held each June that benefits the youth at Harkins House and funds the Laurie C. Rice Memorial Scholarship program. 100% of the proceeds from this tournament are used directly for Harkins House residents and the Laurie C. Rice Memorial Scholarship Program. Past funds have been used to build the basketball court and gazebo at Harkins House, and to purchase exercise and studio equipment. The majority of the funds are raised through the silent auction and from an accompanying raffle. All items are donated by local businesses and Juvenile Department supporters.
