Decision-Public Hearing

For Type I Applications the decision will be made by the Washington County Director of Land Use and Transportation on whether the application meets standards or does not.

For Type II Applications staff will finish their Staff Report and will recommend one of three decisions:

  • Approve
  • Approve with Conditions
  • Deny

The decision will be made by the Washington County Director of Land Use and Transportation.

Type III Applications will go to a Public Hearing.  At the public hearing a Hearings Officer will hear the recommendation from staff, testimony from the applicant, testimony from neighbors who were entitled to a notice of the hearing, and the opinions of any concerned members of the public.  Once all the testimony and evidence has been presented from all sides, the Hearings Officer will make their decision.

Following the decision on either a Type II or Type III application, a Notice of Decision will be sent to the applicant and the surrounding neighbors notifying them of the decision made by the County.
