Our customer reception hours at the Washington County Department of Land Use and Transportation (LUT) offices on the 3rd floor of the Public Services Building (155 N First Avenue, Suite 350, Hillsboro):
Welcome! Development Services is a division within the Washington County Land Use and Transportation (LUT) Department with a goal of ensuring that all development and construction done within county jurisdiction is safe and consistent with our codes and standards. Development Services has two sections:
Current Planning Services
Works with developers, consultants, residents and the public to ensure that development complies with state laws and the Washington County Community Development code;
Processes complaints regarding potential improper uses or conditions of property
Building Services
Works with developers, consultants, contractors, residents and the public to ensure that construction projects are permitted an constructed in accordance with federal, state and local laws and codes.
