Contact: Sambo Kirkman, associate planner | 503-846-3593

Background

The County is updating the Community Development Code (CDC) to comply with changes to federal regulations to streamline local government review and approval of applications for wireless facilities on existing towers and other support structures. Wireless facilities are the towers, antennas and equipment that provide cellular and other communication services to the community.

The County is also considering additional regulation changes to address issues raised by County staff, the wireless industry and the public. Regulations for existing and new wireless facilities will be reviewed for clarity and continuing needs.
