County roads in the clear

Release date: 03/02/2011
Sponsored by: Department of Land Use & Transportation , Division

Road crews and local power companies have managed to clear all roadways that were closed or partially blocked Tuesday due to a number of fallen trees, downed power lines, and slides. Crews have also completed plowing major routes in areas where snow accumulations ranged from several inches to a couple of feet after Monday night’s heavy snowfall.

The National Weather Service expects temperatures in the 40's this afternoon with possible wind gusts reaching 30 mph. Rising temperatures, melting snow, and wind gusts could create the potential for rising creek waters and falling trees. Motorists are advised to slow down and watch out for unexpected weather-related conditions.
