Glencoe Road Paving Scheduled Week of May 7 – Expect Delays
For Immediate Release Tuesday, May 01, 2012
Washington County’s Department of Land Use and Transportation plans to pave Glencoe Road at the McKay Creek bridge, located between Wren Road and Evergreen Road, during the week of May 7. Motorists are advised to anticipate delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid the work area the week of May 7.
This work is weather dependent and conditions must be appropriate for paving to occur. The paving work should take only one day to complete, and is scheduled to occur between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. However, weather conditions will be the deciding factor on which day the contractor is able to begin paving and whether they will be able to complete the work in just one day. During paving, a single lane of traffic will generally remain open on Glencoe Road; however, delays of up to 20 minutes may be experienced. The public’s patience is greatly appreciated as we advance this important improvement project.
