The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a freezing rain advisory for an ice storm in effect from 4 a.m.-6 p.m. Tuesday (Jan. 17). Freezing rain is expected from about 4-8 a.m. Roads are expected to be extremely slippery; please avoid all unnecessary travel.

Flooding is possible Tuesday through Thursday (Jan. 17-19) throughout most of NW Oregon, including Washington County, according to a flood watch issued by the National Weather Service.
Use caution if removing snow from roofs - Release date: 01/15/2017
The forecasted heavy rain may threaten the structural integrity of some roofs, particularly if those roofs are covered still covered by ice and snow. Home and building owners should make sure to take precautions if attempting to remove snow.

3:30 p.m. Jan. 14: All roads in Washington County are open. Crews have installed reader boards on Cornelius Pass Road, north of U.S. 26 and north of West Union Road making travelers aware that Cornelius Pass is closed in Multnomah County at Skyline.
