Beef Bend Road emergency repairs underway - Release date: 12/23/2015
The large sinkhole on Beef Bend Road at 146th Avenue has resulted in significant road repairs that will keep a portion of the road closed for at least a week.
Beef Bend Road closed due to sink hole - Release date: 12/22/2015
A sink hole developed on Beef Bend Road on Tuesday, Dec. 22, resulting in closure of the road 1.7 miles west of Hwy 99W. Travelers must use an alternate route.
Work on culvert, bridge could begin on short notice - Release date: 12/16/2015
Repairs to the 229th Avenue bridge and replacement of the culvert on Timber Road could begin with little or no advance public notice, as Washington County Department of Land Use & Transportation crews may need to take immediate advantage of any favorable weather conditions.
Repairs scheduled for 229th bridge - Release date: 12/15/2015
County crews will make repairs on the Butternut Creek Bridge on 229th Avenue in December. the road will be closed for up to three days for the daytime repairs, but will be open at night. Until the repairs are complete, the bridge is posted with a 25-ton weight limit.
Dispose of sandbags at Washington County facility - Release date: 12/11/2015
Starting at 8 a.m. Saturday (Dec. 12) people looking to dispose of sandbags can bring them to the parking lot adjacent to the Washington County Land Use & Transportation Walnut Street Center at 1400 SW Walnut St., Hillsboro.
Timber Road closed due to washed out culvert - Release date: 12/11/2015
A culvert on Timber Road was washed out on Monday, Dec. 7, resulting in closure of the road 2 miles north of OR 6/Wilson River Highway. Temporary repairs are in process for an early January reopen.

Washington County road crews are preparing for another round of wet and windy weather. The Department of Land Use & Transportation activated its Department Operations Center today.

Flooding caused by heavy rains is resulting in road closures and restrictions throughout Washington County. Those living in areas prone to flooding and landslides should be prepared to take action conditions worsen. Motorists are advised to use extreme caution.
$95K grant awarded to Washington County for transportation safety plan - Release date: 11/24/2015
A $95,000 grant to help reduce transportation-related injuries and fatalities has been awarded to Washington County’s Department of Land Use & Transportation (LUT) by the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT). LUT will use the grant to create a Transportation Safety Action Plan (TSAP) that addresses safety for all motorists, pedestrians and bicyclists. The plan will use County road crash data to help the project team focus on goals, objectives and tactics to make County roads safer.

Scoggins Valley Road to close for five weeks - Release date: 10/09/2015
