Replacement of the Timber Road bridge over Gales Creek has begun. Timber Road will be reduced to one lane across the bridge June 26 through completion in June 2018.

The existing bridge, located just north of Highway 6 on Timber Road, is a narrow wooden structure built in 1936. This project will replace the substandard bridge with a wider, two-lane, concrete structure.

The project contractor, Carter & Company, Inc., will begin removing half of the original bridge June 26. Delays of up to 20 minutes between 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. weekdays will be necessary to remove large beams. A temporary traffic signal will be installed to control traffic through the work area.
