January 11 - 22, 2010: Regional open houses for review and comment on Core 4 recommendations, Metro Council Public Hearings.
February 8, 2010: Core 4 final discussions on regional reserves, agreement on Inter-government Agreements (IGA).
February 18/25: Multnomah County Board of County Commissioners IGA hearings.
February 23: Washington County Board of Commissioners meeting - IGA adoption.
February 25: Clackamas County Board of Commissioners meeting - IGA adoption.
February 25: Metro Council meeting - IGA adoption discussion.
April 21, 2010: First Clackamas County Board of Commissioners public hearing on reserves ordinance.
April 27, 2010: First Washington County Board of Commissioners public hearing on Ordinance 733 incorporating rural reserves into the county's Comprehensive Plan.
May 11, 2010: Washington County Board of Commissioners continued public hearing on Ordinance 733.
May 20, 2010: First Multnomah County Board of Commissioners public hearing on reserves ordinance.
May 20, 2010: Metro Counci's first hearing on urban reserves inclusion in the Regional Framework Plan.
June 11: Counties' Comprehensive Plan amendments delivered to the Land Conservation and Development Commission (LCDC).
October 21: LCDC Hearings.
Previous Metro Coordinated Reserves Work Program Timeline:
November 2007 - March 2008: Establish committees and public involvement process
April 2008 - August 2008: Establish Urban and Rural Reserves Study Area (resulted in approximately 5-mile area beyond existing Urban Growth Boundary)
September 2008 - April 2009: Analyze Reserve Study Areas, apply urban and rural "factors" to assess suitability for urban or rural reserve recommendation.
May – July, 2009: Metro and counties, in partnership with cities and other stakeholders, conduct further evaluation of the suitability of rural and urban candidate areas.
August, 2009: County advisory committees make recommendations to county commissions on rural reserve areas and urban reserve areas.
August 10, 2009: Clackamas County Planning Commission Public Hearing
August 20, 2009: Washington County Public Hearing and informational open-house.
September, 2009: Draft Urban Growth Report and Regional Transportation Plan available. Individual county reserve area recommendations presented to regional Reserves Steering Committee.
October, 2009: Regional Reserves Steering Committee recommendation to Core 4 on preliminary rural reserve areas and urban reserve areas (Phase 3 Milestone.)
December 8, 15, 2009: Washington County Board of Commission Hearing
December 10, 2009: Multnomah County Board of Commission Hearing
December 16, 2009: Core 4 best efforts on reserves recommendations.
