Brookwood Avenue (TV Hwy to E Main/Baseline)
This project improved the heavily used north-south link of Brookwood Avenue between Baseline/Main and TV Highway. The road was widened to three lanes (one lane in each direction with a center lane). Bike lanes, sidewalks and streetlights were also installed. The improvements create a safer, more efficient multi-modal roadway.
Clean Water Services (CWS) partnered with us to upgrade the sanitary sewer system for future development of the Dawson Creek drainage basin as part of the road widening project.
The City of Hillsboro has also partnered with us to upgrade the intersection of Brookwood at Baseline/Main. The city and county agreed to include an additional northbound lane through this intersection that extends north to Ihly Way. It then tapers back to one lane several hundred feet north of Ihly Way.
Partnering with CWS and the City to complete these projects at the same time results in an overall cost savings.
