Cornell Road (102nd to 113th)

Project Information:

Cornell Road, east of Cedar Hills Boulevard/113th Avenue, experiences more than 16,000 vehicle trips a day with peak hours reaching 1,600 vehicles, resulting in moderate to severe congestion during the morning and afternoon peak periods. Cornell Road, between 102nd and 113th avenues, lacks a center turn lane as well as continuous bicycle and pedestrian facilities.

This project will widen Cornell Road to three lanes, and will signalize the intersection with 107th Avenue. Additional improvements include continuous sidewalk and bicycle facilities, street lighting and storm drainage upgrades.

Note: Project limits are subject to change upon further design review.

Funding Information:

This $6.8 million project is funded through the County's Major Streets Transportation Improvement Program (MSTIP). The total project cost includes the estimated cost of design, right-of-way and construction and is subject to change.
