Evergreen Road (25th to 253rd)

PROJECT PAGES

NW Evergreen Road, between 25th Avenue and 253rd Avenue, is a narrow two-lane roadway with intermittent bike lanes and no sidewalks. This project will widen this section of the road to five lanes and provide sidewalks, bike lanes and street lights.

Over 19,000 vehicles consisting of automobiles and major freight travel this road daily. The heavy traffic volumes result in congestion and delays at the bottlenecks between the existing five-lane section and the two and three lane sections.

Widening Evergreen to five lanes will facilitate the flow of traffic while reducing conflicts between bicycles, pedestrians and motor vehicles.

In addition, this project will support future industrial development and is on the Regional Transportation Plan, Washington County Transportation Plan and the Hillsboro Transportation Plan.
