Jackson School (Meek to Scotch Church) Project

Jackson School Road is a commonly used north/south arterial for travelers accessing U.S. 26. from Hillsboro. Just south of U.S. 26, Meek Road and Scotch Church Road both intersect with Jackson School Road at offset access points. Because the two roads are offset within a few hundred feet from each other, this results in additional points of conflicts for drivers turning left onto Jackson School Road and creates delays for drivers attempting to turn left out of or onto both side streets.

This project will construct a roundabout that will connect Meek Road and Scotch Church Road to Jackson School Road, greatly reducing conflicts to all travelers along this roadway.

This $2.36 million project is funded through the County's Road Capital program. The total project cost includes the estimated cost of design, right-of-way and construction and is subject to change.
