Old Cornelius Pass Road Bridge over Rock Creek
This project replaced the existing 51-foot long "three-span" timber bridge on Old Cornelius Pass Road at Rock Creek with a new 63-foot long "single-span" concrete structure. This bridge is located just north of Phillips Road.
The previous bridge was substandard, had a minimal allowable load limit and was beginning to deteriorate, showing signs of decay. Being a "three-span" bridge, this also caused issues with debris collecting under the bridge, resulting in damaged pilings.
The new structure meets current bridge standards providing a safer commute and it spans the creek preventing debris build-up under the bridge.
