Rock Creek Trail Crossing at Evergreen
The City of Hillsboro’s Rock Creek Trail entrances reside on both sides of Evergreen Parkway approximately halfway between Aloclek Drive and John Olsen Avenue. Crossing this busy five lane road required pedestrians and bicyclists to divert east to the crosswalk at John Olsen or west to Aloclek in order to safely cross Evergreen. They would then have to back-track to the trail entrance to continue on the trail.
This project installed a fully signalized crosswalk on Evergreen Parkway at the location of the trail entrances to provide a safe bike and pedestrian crossing.
