National Night Out
August 4, 2015
National Night Out is an annual community event designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, strengthen neighborhood spirit and expand our police-community partnerships.
We want to send a message to criminals that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back!
Each year, your Sheriff's Office celebrates National Night Out in two ways. We join your neighborhood or block parties and provide resources to assist large community celebrations. For 2015, we will be doing both!
The following is our current list of scheduled events. We will update you as events are confirmed.
Cornelius National Night Out: Tuesday, August 4 at Harleman Park (5:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.)
Metzger National Night Out: Tuesday, August 4 at Metzger Park (7:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.)
Please note, we are unable to take requests for specific vehicles or people because we will be working to join as many celebrations as possible.
To invite a Sheriff's Office member to your neighborhood or block party, please use our online request form. We ask that all requests be submitted by Friday, July 24.
Please contact Community Outreach Specialist Lee Blevins if you have questions at (503) 846-2781.
