Hagg Lake Park

NOTICE:  WEST SHORE DRIVE CLOSED AT DAM

7/15-7/17 and 7/29-7/30 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM

West Shore Road across Scoggins Dam will be closed during the installation of two security gates that will be installed on either end of Scoggins Dam.  These gates will be added to improve access control at Scoggins Dam crest road in an effort to better secure the dam toward public safety and in the prevention of unauthorized activities which could jeopardize the integrity of the dam structure and operations.

The closure periods will be 7/15/14 to 7/17/14 between 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM  and 7/30/14 to 7/31/14 between 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM.  

Scoggins Valley Road  around the north side of the reservoir and West Shore Drive all of the way to the south end of the dam will remain open during construction.  SW Lee road to Cherry Grove is an optional exit and entrance for residents on the south end of the reservoir.

Owned by the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, maintained and operated by Washington County, the Park features numerous picnic areas, two boat launching facilities, a fully stocked lake for fishing, more than 13 miles of hiking/mt. biking trails, and observation decks for wildlife and bird watching. Since the creation of Henry Hagg Lake in the mid-1970s, Washington County, the Bureau of Reclamation, and the Washington County Elks Lodges have shared a commitment to make the Park user-friendly to every visitor. Located just 25 miles southwest of Portland, resting at the base of Oregon's beautiful coastal range, Hagg Lake offers visitors the best of outdoor recreational activities.
