Partners for a Sustainable Washington County Community (PSWCC)

There is a new organization in town! Partners for a Sustainable Washington County Community (PSWCC) is a new sustainability resource for the Washington County region. It is an organization that encourages and promotes sustainability among participating partners (local government, non-profits, and special districts) both within their organizations and to the residents of Washington County.

PSWCC has one full-time sustainability coordinator who is supported by a Governing Board and an Operations Team comprised of partner representatives. The Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the activities of the Partners, disseminating information and educational materials, recruiting new Partners and other necessary activities.

Who are the Partners? Currently, there are eleven founding partners in PSWCC: Washington County, the cities of Banks, Beaverton, Cornelius, Hillsboro, and Tualatin as well as Clean Water Services, Portland Community College- Rock Creek, Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue, Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District,  and Tualatin Valley Water District.

The PSWCC Coordinator has been hard at work since his position began June 1, 2009. Please look for updates and contact information in the coming months.
