County Service Fair at Forest Grove Farmers Market Sept. 29

Washington County's public information effort about countywide public safety and library renewal levies on the ballot this November will involve eight events designed to provide voters with impartial information. The next event will convene at the Forest Grove Farmers Market on Main Street between 21st and Pacific Avenue in Forest Grove on Wednesday, September 29, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. (Due to a change in market hours, the ending time is an hour earlier than indicated on invitation cards sent to Forest Grove voters.)

The eight county service fairs are intended to provide neutral information about Measure 34-179, the Public Safety Levy Renewal, and Measure 34-180, the Library Levy Renewal. The events will include information about the proposed services and costs for property tax payers. Two service fairs are planned within each of Washington County's four commissioner districts.

Dates, locations and times for these service fairs can be found at this web page:

More information about Measure 34-179, the Public Safety Levy Renewal, and Measure 34-180, the Library Levy Renewal, can be found at:

Information regarding Measures 34-179 and 34-180 was reviewed by the Oregon Secretary of State's Elections Division for compliance with state laws restricting the political activities of public employees.
