The Juvenile Department, working together with the Washington County Commission on Children and Families and a broad coalition of community partners, including school districts and youth service agencies, has developed a comprehensive community plan and set of programs to help prevent juvenile crime. The Juvenile Department has encouraged and supported active collaboration between service providers as a well-researched, best practice principle in intervention with at risk youth. This resource guide results both from the sharing of information between Washington County providers and the desire of the Juvenile Department to make those resources widely available to the community.
