Special Election Ballots to Be Mailed

Ballots for the September 21st Special Election for Beaverton City Council Position 1 will be mailed to voters on September 1.

If you are a registered voter, make sure to check that weekend for your ballot. If by September 7 you have not received your ballot, you can request a replacement ballot by using the Ballot Request Form at washcovotes.org or contact the Elections Office at 503-846-5800.

Washington County elections officials are encouraging voters to mail or drop off their ballots as soon as possible, so that all ballots are processed in a timely manner.

Voters will need to mail their signed ballots, without the need for additional postage, no later than Wednesday, September 15. After this date, voters will need to drop off their signed ballots at official collection sites in order to meet the election deadline on September 21 at 8:00 pm. Postmarked ballots will not be accepted for this election.

Beginning next year effective January 1,2022, Oregon will allow for ballots that are postmarked by Election Day and received no later than seven days after an election to be accepted and counted.
