For 2021, the property tax statement (tax bill) will be mailed by October 25, 2021.  All property owners receive a tax statement.  If you do not receive a tax statement by November 1st you should call the tax office at (503) 846-8801.  If you receive a yellow statement, a mortgage company or the Oregon Department of Revenue has requested the tax statement.  If you have recently refinanced, the mortgage company may not have notified us of the change.  If you have any questions as to who should pay the taxes please contact your mortgage company.  If you receive a green statement, you are responsible for paying the taxes.  Property owners are ultimately responsible for paying the taxes.

Be sure to mail your payment early enough to be postmarked on or before November 15, 2021.  According to Oregon law, if the postmark is after November 15, discounts are not allowed and interest will accrue on the past due portion.

Please return the lower portion of your tax bill(s) with your payment and use the enclosed envelope.  Write your account number(s) on the front of your check to ensure proper credit.  Your canceled check is your receipt.  The upper portion of the tax statement should be kept for your records.  If you plan to pay your taxes in person, remember the week before the 15th will be very busy; waiting and long lines cannot be avoided.  The office is closed November 11 in observance of Veterans Day.

Payment for property taxes must be credited to the earliest year for which the taxes are due on the property for which the payment is being made.
