Online Payment

The county will accept Credit Card/Debit Card or ACH online payments via the internet.  We are often asked if people can pay property taxes by credit card or by other electronic means.  Washington County accepts credit card and ACH payments online.  You can pay your taxes with your VISA, MASTERCARD, DISCOVER CARD, OR AMERICAN EXPRESS or make an ACH payment from your computer.

A.  Credit/Debit Card:  If paying by CREDIT CARD/DEBIT CARD, there will be a convenience fee of 2.49% of the payment charged for this service paid by you, the taxpayer.

$2562.25     Total charge to your account 
B.  ACH Payment:   ACH is an electronic payment debited directly from your bank account, using your Routing and Account numbers.  There will be a convenience fee of $.95 charged per transaction for this service paid by you, the taxpayer.

IMPORTANT: If paying by eCheck or ACH, please note our ACH Processor has changed. If a debit block is currently enabled on your account –please instruct your bank, prior to entering your information below, to allow incoming ACH debits from Company ID: 0000079161.

The online system is set up to accept the following:

  • Full and partial payments.
  • You can pay one account per transaction.

The following items are required to enter a tax payment online:

  • A valid e-mail address.
  • The property tax account number.  Your account number will be located on the top right hand corner of your annual property tax statement.  The number will begin with an "R" for real property, "M" for manufactured home, "U" for utility property or "P" for personal property.  (Refer to SAMPLE TAX STATEMENT.)
  • A valid VISA, MasterCard, Discover Card, or American Express if paying by Credit Card.
  • Your checking Account and Routing numbers if paying by ACH.


To avoid loss of discount and interest charges, tax payments must be post-marked by November 15, 2018.

If you are making an online payment, your payment is considered timely if the transmission time and date is prior to November 15, 2018 at 11:59 p.m.
