Update: Washington County Circuit Court will open at 8 a.m. today.

Original release:
Washington County buildings will open two hours later than usual, at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, December 29, and then close at 4 p.m. due to continued freezing temperatures and icy conditions. Information about the status of the Washington County Circuit Court can be found at https://www.courts.oregon.gov/courts/washington/Pages/default.aspx

The county’s P5 parking lot and much of the parking structure in downtown Hillsboro will remain open, but employees and the public are urged to be cautious while travelling from their vehicles to county buildings. Crews will attempt to remove ice and snow as much as possible and open other parking lots as they become cleared.

In keeping with the Washington County Inclement Weather Policy, employees should coordinate with their supervisors about any adjustments to their work schedules as appropriate. All who are able are encouraged to work remotely during this snow event. Please monitor local news and weather for potential winter weather conditions expected throughout the week.

Employees and the public are asked to monitor the Washington County website or social media feeds to learn more about potential changes to hours of operation. Updates about road closures and snow removal from the County road system can be found at www.wc-roads.com.
