Final SNRs Assessment Report - May 2020

SNRs Assessment/
LCDC Enforcement Order

Presented by Theresa Cherniak, Principal Planner, Washington County Land Use & Transportation

Washington County has been working on a document assessing the application of Significant Natural Resources (SNRs) regulations to new development in the urban areas of the County. A draft report was issued last October and finalized in May. In late May, the Land Conservation and Development Commission (LCDC) voted to place an Enforcement Order on the County regarding its natural resources regulations. Several county land use ordinances are being developed as a result of the effort and in response to the LCDC Enforcement Order. Theresa will provide an update on the current status of the SNRs Assessment, the Enforcement Order, and next steps.
