Boards and Commissions
The County's boards and commissions play an important role in advising the Board of Commissioners on service priorities, how to distribute available resources, and how to improve our collaboration with the greater Washington County community. Some (for instance the Civil Service Commission and the Board of Property Tax Appeals) directly help review decisions made by the County government.
Serving on an appointed board, committee or commission is a great way to participate in decisions that affect you and learn more about how your local government works. Learn more (hyperlink to subpage).
