New Deputy County Administrator for Washington County

Washington County is pleased to announce the appointment of Ruth Osuna as Deputy County Administrator. Ruth Osuna

Osuna is an Arizona native with background and experience in local government, non-profit organizations, and private sector business. She served as Deputy City Manager/Director of Cultural Affairs for the city of Phoenix, Arizona and as City Manager for the city of Eloy, Arizona. She also served as the Assistant City Manager for the city of Brownsville, Texas and the city of Oxnard, California, and held director positions for the International City/County Management Association Hispanic Network, Neighborhood Reinvestment Corporation, and Local Initiatives Support Corporation.

Osuna began her career as a secondary school teacher after receiving her Bachelor of Science in Education with a dual major in English and Journalism from Northern Arizona University.  She received her Master of Public Administration from Arizona State University.  

"Ruth has a wealth of experience across many of our key service areas and programs including housing, community and economic development, finance and budget, and public works, as well with non-profit organizations and community groups," said County Administrator Bob Davis. "We are delighted that she will be joining our Washington County leadership team."

Ruth Osuna begins her new assignment as Deputy County Administrator for Washington County on Monday, December 3, 2018.
