Drug Court

 drug court

Drug Court is an alternative for some of the County’s most seriously drug-involved clients for whom traditional treatment and sanctions have not worked.  It is a cooperative effort of the Court, District Attorney, Defense Counsel, Sheriff, Community Corrections and treatment.  Weekly reporting to a judge, intensive outpatient treatment, home visits, and regular drug testing help hold participants accountable, allow for quick identification of problems, and identify interventions or sanctions as needed.  For those who are serious about making some positive changes and are willing to work hard, the program offers support, access to resources only available to participants, and the opportunity to avoid a prison or jail sentence.
